Barcelona can advance to the knockout rounds of the Champions League with a victory over FC Porto of Portugal, but they could use some momentum too going forward.

They’ve been inconsistent in La Liga and Champions League play as well. Porto comes in having won three straight.

In a top-of-the-table clash in Group H, Barcelona welcomes Porto to Spain with both sides vying to make it through to the next round of the UEFA Champions League with a win.

Barcelona squandered a chance to continue their winning momentum in Europe after losing to Shakhtar Donetsk in the previous matchday tying them with Tuesday's visitors at nine points. With Xavi's side losing key players through injuries and results not falling their way, the Catalan powerhouses will look to get their campaign back on track with a victory.

Porto, on the other hand, have three wins and one loss and are level on points with their opposition. But the Portuguese side's sole defeat came against Barcelona in the reverse fixture when Ferran Torres netted at home for the visitors. With Porto looking for redemption, they'll be fully motivated for their visit to Spain.

Here, GOAL brings you everything you need to know about how to watch, including TV channels, streaming details, and more.

Barcelona vs Porto kick-off time

Date: November 28, 2023

Kick-off time: 8pm GMT

Venue: Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys

Barcelona will host Porto at their second stadium, Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. The two sides will kick off their fixture at 8 pm GMT.

Barcelona's injury concerns continued with Gavi being ruled out because of a knee injury he picked up during international duty with Spain sidelining the La Masia graduate for the remainder of the season.

German shot-stopper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen is also doubtful because of a back problem that could see Inaki Pena start in between the sticks.

The return of Pedri and Frenkie De Jong could bolster Xavi's midfield with former Manchester City veteran Ilkay Gundogan starting with the duo.

A win against Porto will be enough to put Barcelona back in the knockout rounds of the Champions League after two consecutive group-stage eliminations.

It may not be enough, though, to ease the pressure on coach Xavi Hernández, who has struggled to get his team to play well recently.

Barcelona is coming off a stretch that includes a 1-0 loss to Shakhtar Donetsk in its last Champions League game, and a 1-1 draw at Rayo Vallecano in its previous Spanish league match. The team has even produced lackluster performances when winning recent matches.

Barcelona will advance with a win, or with a draw if Shakhtar doesn’t beat Antwerp in the other Group H match on Tuesday. The Catalan club failed to reach the knockout stage in the two seasons after Lionel Messi left the club.

Barcelona’s possession-based style will clash with Porto’s more pragmatic approach, making for an intriguing tactical battle that has proven to be effective in the group stage with 3 victories and a single defeat.

Porto’s defensive solidity and counter-attacking threat will pose a significant challenge to Barcelona. The Dragons have allowed only 3 goals within Group H and their offense has scored a total of 9 goals, one goal more than Barcelona.
